amberco canine hydrotherapy offer a range of treatment programmes, each having been designed to cater for a specific area of need. In their application, programmes are also tailored to the requirements of each individual dog.
BASIC REHABILITATION PROGRAMME:
Entry-level rehabilitation programme, where work is pool based only.
ADVANCED REHABILITATION PROGRAMME:
Our comprehensive rehabilitation programme, which uses the Hydro Spa before and after work in the pool or water walker.
SENIORS PROGRAMME:
Designed to maintain mobility & fitness in dogs aged 10 years and over, who are suffering from nothing more than old age & arthritis. Pool work is preceded by a spell in the Hydro Spa. The programme starts with an Initial Course of twice weekly sessions for five weeks, which also includes a 236ml bottle of Cortaflex joint supplement. Thereafter, dogs continue with Maintenance Courses, which comprise of ten sessions, taken initially weekly and subsequently fortnightly, plus one free session.
FITNESS & STAMINA PROGRAMME:
Serious pool/water walker based workouts to build up fitness and stamina for working/agility dogs and advanced recreational activity for fit pet dogs, with no current injury or condition.
OBESITY MANAGEMENT:
Pool based programme, designed to assist with weight loss, in conjunction with your vet's recommended diet.
All programmes are available as either individual sessions or courses, except for the Seniors Programme, which is only available as a course.
All programmes start with an initial session which lasts up to an hour, with following sessions lasting up to 30 minutes.
